The district wrapped up summer construction projects on time and ready to go for the first day of school. Dan Meyer, Director of Construction, Renovation and Building Systems, shared an overview of the work, made possible through voter approval of the 2022 bond issue, with the Board of Education at its last meeting.

Principal Patrick McGuire was there to share the impact of projects at North Middle. “Our teachers, knowing that construction is done for the time being, but also seeing the impact of it has really helped them come to work, enjoy working with kids, and know that we have a district that wants to take care of us and wants to invest in our building because they deserve it and our kids deserve it,” McGuire said. “Having our new HVAC running as we came back to school. Being able to focus on education, not having to shift kids around from room to room because it’s too hot. It’s exactly what our school needed. I'm very appreciative of the investment for our building. It has helped boost the climate and culture of our school. We have one cafeteria, where traditionally North Middle has had two. Sometimes it gets a little loud, but at least we’re all together and it’s been fantastic.”
