What is Leader in ME

We are so very proud of our students and staff in our effort to gain this awesome title.
Leader In Me gives schools a framework of paradigms that teach, everyone can be a leader, change starts with me, everyone has genius, educators can empower student to lead their own learning and develop the whole person.

7 Habits of Leader In Me

Habit 1 - Be Proactive - Having a “Can Do” attitude. Choosing actions, attitudes and moods. Not blaming others. Doing the right thing without being asked, even if nobody is looking.  

Habit 2 - Begin with a Begin with the end in mind - Planning ahead and setting goals. Doing things that have meaning and make a difference. Being an important part of my school. Always looking for ways to be a good citizen.

Habit 3 - Put First Thing First - Spending time on things that are most important. This means saying no to things I should not do. Setting priorities, make a schedule, and follow a plan. Being organized.

Habit 4 - Think Win - Win - Wanting everyone to be a success. Not needing to have to put others down to get what is want. Being happy to see other people happy. Doing nice things for others. When a conflict arrives, helping brainstorm a solution. All can win! 

Habit 5 - Seek First to Understand - Listening to other people’s ideas and feelings. Trying to see things from their viewpoints. Listening to others without interrupting. Confident in voicing ideas.

Habit 6 - Synergize - Valuing other people’s strengths and learn from them. Getting along well with others, even people who are different. Work well in groups. Seeking out other people’s ideas to solve problems.
Knowing that “two heads are better than one”. Being a better person when I let other people into my life and work. 

Habit 7 - Sharpen the Saw - Taking care of my body by eating right, exercising, and getting sleep. Spending time with family and friends. Learning in lots of ways and lots of places.
