As an added layer of safety, Fort Zumwalt School District is partnering with our neighboring St. Charles County school districts to implement new bag guidelines at high school events beginning in August.
These guidelines will feel familiar to many, as they are comparable to those enforced at many collegiate and professional athletic events, as well as performances or large festivals.
Our neighbors in the City of St. Charles School District, Francis Howell, Orchard Farm, and Wentzville have implemented comparable bag guidelines in a coordinated effort to strengthen community safety and security.
Approved bags include:
Diaper bags and medically necessary items
Clear plastic or vinyl bags no larger than 12” x 6” by 12”
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags
Small clutch bags that are no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”
Bags that do not meet the criteria listed above are not allowed.
Examples of unapproved bags include:
Purses larger than a clutch bag
Briefcases
Backpacks
Belt bags, crossbodies or fanny packs
Cinch or drawstring bags
Computer or camera bags
Guests carrying an unapproved bag will not be allowed entry to the facility.
Have questions about the bag guidelines? Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions below or contact the Activities Coordinator at your high school.
