Yesterday at the Lion Relays our Lion swimmers invited and recognized their favorite teachers. Thank you for always supporting our athletes and making their experience great!

Lily Schaefer chose Mr. Loutzenhiser
I picked Loutze because he has been my favourite teacher thus far this year.
He's had a good impact because I actually want to go to his class, which isn't something that has happened in years. He's good at what he does because he was able to teach me something I didn't think I could learn.
Marley Ames chose Mrs. Maddox
Mrs. Maddox is an amazing teacher for a number of reasons. She always listens to everyone's issues and provides a helping hand, she sees her student's perspectives, and she is a great person to talk to about anything, and she'll always lend a listening ear.
Finley Breitbach chose Mrs. Coleman
I love walking into Mrs. Coleman's class. she is always so cheerful and ready to help when needed she is also such an understanding teacher and knows what her students need to get the full learning experience!

Lila Bristol chose Mrs. Bellows
I picked Mrs. Bellows because she is such a fun teacher. She is someone that I can talk to when I need help or have concerns. She has really helped me understand Biology, and makes each class interesting. I really appreciate everything about her.

Sam Walden chose Mrs. Bono

Mia Tomlinson chose Mrs. Goodson
Mrs. Goodson has had a big impact on me inside and outside of school. I have had her for two years now, and I’m excited to walk into her class every day. She makes her classes fun and engaging. She always listens to other students and me about our problems and does her best to help us.

Margo Tinoco-Sanchez chose Mr. Fischer
Mr. Fischer has always known me since freshman year, even when I never got him as a teacher till this year. He would always say hi to me when I would visit my friend in his class. He never wants you to feel bad about yourself; he always wants to understand what you're struggling on. I'm grateful to have him as my teacher this year.
Nora Scheckel chose Ms. Sanders
Ms. Sanders is my advisory teacher. She is approachable, and willing to take time out of her day to speak to me whenever I go to her room. I appreciate when she lets me stop by her classroom for some candy or talk to her, which always brightens my day. I’m grateful I got to know her as my advisory teacher this year.

Olivia Walker chose Mrs. Hayes
Mrs. Hayes is the most inspirational, funny, and kind teacher I have had. She genuinely cares about teaching and about all of her students no matter what. She brought my love for English back and always has a wild story to brighten everyone’s day. Mrs. Hayes is retiring this year, but all of her students including myself can agree she is the best teacher our school could ask for.

Lily and Anabelle Steinmetz chose Coach Cork
We chose Cork because she always pushes us to be the best versions of ourselves in the classroom and on the Field. She has coached us to district championships and has made us strong mentally and physically. We are so thankful to have her as our coach and are very thankful for everything she has done for us.
Marissa Uptain chose Ms. Russell
Ms. Russell brightens my day every time I see her. She has always believed in me and my goals. She is the teacher who always truly cared for her students.

Anna Siders and Maya West chose Mrs. Venneman
I’ve had the privilege of having Mrs. Venneman as my teacher 2 years in a row, and although Maya has just had her this year, we admire how organized and knowledgeable she is with her lectures, her Canvas page, even her desk. Her classroom is a judgment free zone that students can flourish in. Maya and I adore her stories of her kid scoring a soccer goal and her mission to run a half marathon. Mrs. Venneman is an approachable person, which is such an important quality in a teacher, especially when it comes to asking questions or needing help finding the value for “p-hat”. We are so grateful to have Mrs. Venneman is our teacher and we are excited to have our last semester in high school with her as our math teacher.
