Mrs. Broyles Infographic

We chose Mrs. Broyles as our sponsor of the week for a variety of reasons. First, her first true show week has just concluded, and the production was done so well! The kids seemed to really enjoy their time on stage, and the show came together for a final night performance that had everyone laughing. Second, she has taken on the task of selling concessions at multiple events this past fall, using all the money raised to help her students go to Thes Con debt-free. This time given is so valuable to her students, and we know they are appreciative of this. Finally, Mrs. Broyles has gone all in on being a Lion. She is often seen checking in on her athletes and participants to see how they are doing in their other endeavors. She is often texting the admin team to find out scores of games and then helping her new community celebrate huge wins over our rivals or our state soccer trip. She has quickly become a valuable member of our community.

Everything! I do my best work when I'm surrounded by people whose mission is the same as mine: do what's best for kids. The best ideas I've put into practice have come from brainstorming sessions with others. This job can be so heavy and isolating if you don't find the right community to do it with. Everyone I've come to know at EHS has been so kind and sincere. You can feel how much our staff cares for our students, and I'm honored to be part of the Lion Pride!

One of my biggest goals with my program is to model and teach students how to build a positive community that communicates effectively, clearly, and with empathy. I'm trying to teach them that conflict is inevitable, but how we work through conflict is what makes our community thrive or fail. When you get dozens of kids working towards a common goal, holding each other accountable, and celebrating one another's successes, there is nothing more magical! I am so proud of my students for buying in and being the change they want to see.
