Emma volunteered to work one of our concession stand shifts last week (as a first-year member), and after two others backed out, it was just her and me as the adult advisor. She worked her tail off making order after order, with a smile on her face and not once complaining that we didn't have any help. She was a rockstar and helped keep all of the fans in the stands fed and happy.
Emma is also involved in cross country.
She says community is a group of people who are together, care about each other, and make sure that everyone is lifted up.
