The FZE varsity boys soccer team has captured the GAC Central championship for just the second time in school history. They went undefeated through their five divisional games, including a 1-0 win over our arch rivals FZS. The boys were presented with their plaque at the homecoming pep rally held in the gymnasium.
The varsity boys team is now competing for the coveted GAC Cup, which is a competition among the best the GAC has to offer. They are undefeated through their first two pool games with a tie against state-ranked FZW (1-1) and a win over FZN (5-1). They take on Orchard Farm at Orchard Farm on Tuesday, October 14th. Should they win by 3 goals, they guarantee themselves the right to battle for the GAC Cup against the winner of the opposite pool (Timberland, FHC, Howell, or FZS).
For the next two-year cycle, the GAC Cup will be played on a Friday night and Saturday between the three divisional winners and the next best team from the South and/or Central division.
