Recently, the Fort Zumwalt East and the Fort Zumwalt North softball team's came together and went to bat for something much bigger, Hope. Each year, the two teams square off in a JV/V doubleheader to raise money and awareness for cancer research. Not only does Zumwalt East's coach, Brooke Petry, organize the event, but she also gets our broader school community involved by having our enterprise students make and sell commemorative key chains, apparel, and goodies to enjoy on game day. All in, both teams raised $600 during the game to donate to the American Cancer Society. Congrats on a great event and a true display of sportsmanship and camaraderie between sister schools. Thank you to all who came out and contributed to our efforts, and for going to bat for Hope.
