Sean Lawson InfoGraphic

When you think of a "theater kid", you think of Sean Lawson. Sean eats, sleeps, and breathes theater. Not only is he active in our program, he also participates in Young People's Theater through SCC, and often goes to see performances of other local high schools. No matter what task is thrown at Sean, he will rise to the occasion and take it as a learning opportunity. I've only known Sean for a year, but the amount of growth I have seen in him is amazing, and I can't wait to see where this year and next take him. Sean was one of our presenters who helped us earn Honor Troupe. He is a peer mentor in an intro class, and the students LOVE HIM. He is our first "official" student director. He is directing with me as a mentor and support role. He is absolutely CRUSHING it. I am so incredibly proud of him and how he truly is mentoring our new members, and not just "bossing" them around. He is giving great feedback, takes his role seriously, and has helped ignite a passion in our new members. Sean is also great at helping me grow as a director/sponsor. He isn't afraid to ask me the hard questions, but is also respectful and knows when we're going to have to just agree to disagree.

Sean is also involved in the choir and PPI.

Sean says excellence isn't about being the best at something, but working at being the best version of yourself you can be and giving it your all.
