As the summer sun begins to set, the energy at Dardenne Elementary is building for a fantastic new school year. We have a full lineup of fun, welcoming events planned throughout August to help our students and families get connected, drop off supplies, and kick off the year with a smile.
Be sure to mark your calendars so you don't miss out on any of these upcoming Knight traditions!
1. Meet the Teacher Night (Grades 1-5 )
When: Thursday, August 20th | 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Where: Dardenne Elementary School
What to Expect: Step inside the building, explore your new classroom, and say hello to your teacher! This is the perfect opportunity for students to drop off their school supplies early so their desks are ready for the first day.
2. Kindergarten Orientation
When: Friday, August 21st | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Where: Dardenne Elementary School
What to Expect: A special morning dedicated entirely to our newest little Knights! Incoming Kindergartners will meet their teacher, drop off their supplies, get familiar with the school, and start making new friends before the big transition.
3. Chalk the Walk
When: Monday, August 24th | 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Where: DES Front Sidewalks & Entrances
What to Expect: Help us cover our walkways in vibrant color and encouraging messages! Grab some sidewalk chalk and join other Knight families to leave drawings and positive notes that will greet our students as they walk into school on Day 1.
