Knight of the Year Ceremony

Dardenne Elementary School recently held its traditional Knight of the Year Ceremony, a special event dedicated to recognizing exceptional students. This year, we celebrated individuals who have demonstrated how to live the 7 Habits and have worked hard in their academics, showcasing great leadership throughout the school year.

The assembly kicked off with wonderful musical performances by both the Dardenne Singers and the Instrument Club, setting a celebratory tone for the entire school community.

The core of the ceremony honored students across all grade levels with traditional, medieval-themed titles of distinction:

  • Kindergarten–2nd Grade: Awarded the Knight in Training honor.

  • 3rd Grade: Eligible for the honor of a Page.

  • 4th Grade: Eligible for the honor of a Squire.

  • 5th Grade: Reserved for the highest honor, the Knight of the Year.

To wrap up the unforgettable assembly, Dardenne's five special area teachers took the stage to present the subject-specific awards for the year. Individual students were recognized as the Artist of the Year, Reader of the Year, Athlete of the Year, Techie of the Year, and Musician of the Year.

It was a fantastic day of celebration for all of our hard-working students who truly embody what it means to be a Dardenne Knight!
